Analysis of Voltage-Type Heating Faults in 35kV Wall Bushing

  • As an important insulation and support component connecting indoor and outdoor electrical equipment in substations, 35kV wall bushings directly affect the safety and stability of the power system through their operational reliability. Voltage-induced overheating faults, characterized by small temperature differences, strong concealment, and difficulty in detection, put higher demands on equipment condition monitoring. This paper, combining modern diagnostic technologies such as infrared thermography and ultrasonic testing, proposes detection strategies for voltage-induced overheating faults. A typical case of a 35kV wall bushing voltage-induced overheating fault is analyzed in terms of its heating characteristics, causes, and handling process. Finally, comprehensive measures for preventing voltage-induced overheating faults are proposed from the perspectives of operation, maintenance, and routine inspection, providing theoretical support and practical guidance for the safe operation of power equipment.
