Abstract
Large outdoor landscape umbrellas in commercial venues and scenic spots are mostly operated by hand. The process is slow, and the consistency of opening and closing is poor. When the weather shifts suddenly, failing to fold it in time may cause equipment damage. This paper proposes an automatic control system built on a PLC and a servo motor. The servo-driven closed-loop regulation significantly reduces the repetitive positioning error during opening and closing. A local touch screen is paired with remote operation through a mobile app and web interface. Field tests confirm stable and reliable operation with smooth communication, supporting the system"s feasibility and cost-effectiveness. The work offers a reference for moving outdoor installations from purely mechanical operation toward intelligent control.
