Analysis and treatment of discharge failure of GIS outlet wall bushing based on UV imaging technology

  • As an important carrier for connecting indoor GIS equipment with outdoor equipment, the GIS outlet wall bushing is placed outdoors and is prone to discharge faults due to adverse environmental conditions. Based on this, this paper uses ultraviolet imaging technology to conduct live detection on the GIS outlet wall bushing, accurately determining the discharge location through the number of discharge photons, and promptly shutting down the power for fault handling, thus avoiding the expansion of the fault range of power equipment. Firstly, the detection principle of ultraviolet imaging technology is introduced, then the classification and judgment basis of electrical equipment corona discharge defects are given, and finally, through a case of discharge of the GIS outlet wall bushing in a certain substation, the inspection and handling, cause analysis, and preventive measures are expounded, providing certain reference and guidance for live detection of outdoor electrical equipment.
