Design and Research of Direct Drive Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor for Extrusion

  • The extrusion system mainly consists of three parts: the driving mechanism, the feeding device mechanism, and the plastic melting and heating mechanism. The driving motor, as the core component of the driving mechanism, provides continuous power output for the system. Traditional extrusion motors often use asynchronous motors combined with reducers as the driving method, which has many problems such as high maintenance costs, large space occupation, and low driving efficiency in the later stage. Therefore, in order to address the drawbacks of the above system, this article adopts a direct drive permanent magnet synchronous motor to replace the original asynchronous motor drive, and based on the inherent load characteristics of the extrusion system, conducts the following research on key issues such as electromagnetic design and motor cooling system design of the direct drive permanent magnet synchronous motor for extrusion.
