Research on Optimization Configuration Strategies for Arc Light Protection in High-Voltage Switchgear of Substations
-
Abstract
Abstract: This study aims to address the slow fault clearance speed exhibited by traditional protection systems in 35kV/6kV switchgear at a certain oil transmission station during busbar arc faults. Based on dual criteria of arc intensity and current magnitude, the study analyzes the characteristics of single-busbar segmented configurations. Subsequently, it proposes an optimized logical partitioning configuration scheme and integrated early-warning measures combining partial discharge and temperature monitoring data. Results demonstrate that the optimized fault clearance time is reduced from 0.5 seconds to 0.1 seconds, arc energy is decreased below 20% of the baseline, and peak pressure is attenuated to within 35%. This research enhances the intrinsic safety of primary load power supply in oil and gas stations and facilitates remote centralized monitoring in smart substations.
