Protection measures and impact analysis of filling construction around existing power tower
-
Abstract
To address the impact and safety protection issues arising from large-scale municipal road embankment construction near existing power transmission towers, this study analyzes the influence mechanisms of fill construction on tower foundations and their deformation calculation methods. A protective measure employing rigid guardrails with bored pile foundations is proposed, along with optimized engineering solutions for drainage and safety inspections. The deformation effects of extensive subgrade filling on existing power towers are simulated using both the layer-wise summation method and 3D finite element analysis (FEA). Field measurement comparisons demonstrate that the FEA-predicted results align more closely with actual engineering conditions than those obtained from the layer-wise summation method.
