Research and Application of Gate Opening Monitoring System for Winch Hoist Based on SSI Protocol

  • With the continuous upgrading of automation in water conservancy and hydropower projects, opening monitoring for winch hoists is critical to the safe and stable operation of hub facilities. Conventional gate opening monitoring schemes suffer from limited measurement accuracy, poor antiinterference performance and insufficient visualization, and cannot meet longterm monitoring requirements under complex working conditions. To address the practical deficiencies of existing monitoring technologies, this paper investigates and applies a hoist opening monitoring system based on an SSI signal encoding module and a touch screen. Taking the SSI absolute encoder as the core acquisition unit, the system directly acquires digital signals through a dedicated position detection module. The control program completes opening calculation and data processing, while the touch screen realizes integrated functions including parameter configuration, status display, overlimit alarm and historical data query. Considering field operating conditions, data filtering and state judgment mechanisms are adopted to handle signal fluctuation, communication anomaly and overrange operation, which greatly improve monitoring stability and continuity. Engineering application results show that the system features high measurement accuracy, fast response and convenient maintenance. It satisfies longterm regular monitoring demands for hoists, improves the intelligence of gate monitoring, and provides technical references for the automation retrofitting of hydraulic hoisting equipment.
