Rapid Response Renovation Practice of Emergency Power Supply for Spillway Dam of Yinpan Hydropower Station

This paper introduces the rapid response renovation practice of the emergency power supply for the spillway dam. By accurately predicting and warning the voltage loss of the 400 V bus at the spillway dam, it realizes the self-starting of the diesel generator upon voltage loss, or the remote one-key start of the diesel generator and closing of its outlet switch. This avoids the excessively long startup time of the diesel generator caused by abnormal voltage or power failure of the 400 V bus at the spillway dam, which would otherwise lead to incidents such as plant flooding and reservoir overtopping. The renovation ensures the personal and property safety of people in the reservoir area and downstream, and improves the emergency response capability of the hydropower station.
