Operation of Thermal Power Plants Based on Particle Swarm Optimization

  • Aiming at problems of fixed setpoints, static control parameter tuning and disjoint load allocation-unit regulation in centralized control of thermal power plants, a two-layer progressive dynamic energy consumption control technology based on improved particle swarm optimization is proposed. The upper layer optimizes unit load allocation, and the lower layer dynamically tunes main steam temperature setpoints and controller parameters, realizing vertical coordination of setpoints and control loops. Simulations show that this method significantly reduces main steam temperature deviation, shortens adjustment time and cuts coal consumption under all load conditions, improving unit operation economy and dynamic response, providing effective technical support for energy saving of thermal power plants.
