Improvement Analysis of High Humidity Inert Gas Activity Monitor in Nuclear Power Plants
-
Abstract
Based on measurement data from Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant, this study investigates the operational status of high-humidity inert gas activity monitors. By analyzing the process characteristics, the root causes of inherent defects such as insufficient drying capacity of the dryer and poor communication performance of the protocol converter box are identified. Through measures including replacing mechanical drying devices, installing additional ventilation systems in the instrument room, upgrading the protocol converter box, optimizing DCS configuration, and advancing localization alternatives, these issues have been effectively resolved. These improvements have enhanced the reliability and stability of the equipment, providing a reference for further enhancements to radiation monitoring systems in subsequent nuclear power plants.
