Short-Circuit Resistance Design and Analysis of Amorphous Alloy 3D Wound Core Transformers
-
Abstract
Amorphous alloy 3D wound core transformers excel in energy efficiency and environmental protection due to low loss, but their poor short-circuit resistance—stemming from low mechanical strength of amorphous strips and non-rigid core fastening. To achieve this, high-quality amorphous ribbon materials and adhesive coating processes are employed to enhance core stability, the winding structure and compression methods are optimized, the lead connections and positioning design are improved, and a six-point positioning oil tank structure is adopted to optimize the short-circuit resistance of key components. Tests on short-circuit impedance, temperature rise, and withstand capability show phase reactance difference <4.0% after 9 short-circuit tests.
