Research on Rapid Fault Tracing Method for Complex Distribution Networks Based on Transient Recording Technology

Abstract
To solve low positioning accuracy, delayed response and weak anti-interference ability in complex distribution network fault tracing under distributed generation penetration, a rapid fault tracing method based on transient recording tech and LSTM neural network is proposed. It uses COMTRADE standard to analyze fault transient data, builds an 11×20 feature matrix, and inputs it into LSTM model to realize accurate identification of single-phase grounding, three-phase short circuit and two-phase short circuit faults. Simulation comparison results show: the method's positioning accuracy exceeds 96.30% in three fault scenarios, with average tracing time only 0.12 s, effectively solving complex distribution network fault tracing problems.
