Design Method for an Outdoor Cabinet Resistant to Harsh Environments for Electronic Equipment
-
Abstract
With the widespread application of military and civilian electronic equipment in outdoor environments, the protection and thermal management of electronic devices have become focal points of research. Traditional outdoor cabinet designs often employ direct cooling methods, leading to internal components being susceptible to moisture, dust, and electromagnetic interference, which affects the reliability and stability of the equipment. This paper proposes a novel outdoor cabinet design method that integrates zoned isolation protection, multi-tiered electromagnetic shielding, and modular forced-air cooling. This approach not only ensures the stable and reliable operation of electronic equipment in harsh outdoor environments but also facilitates rapid maintenance and replacement of sensitive electronic modules, thereby enhancing system reliability. Experimental results demonstrate that this design excels in dust resistance, water resistance, electromagnetic shielding, and thermal management, offering significant application potential and economic value.
