Study on Adaptability of Neutral Sections Under Through Operation Mode of Urban Rail Transit

  • This paper analyzes the arrangement of catenary neutral sections and the distribution of vehicle pantographs along the entire Line 19, focusing on the adaptability of neutral sections in existing segments under fixed operation, fault, and reconnection modes after the adjustment of vehicle formation in Phase II. The analysis shows that the existing articulated neutral sections can meet the operational requirements of single 4-car trains. In case of faults, multiple strategies can be adopted for handling. Under the reconnection mode, only specific pantograph-raising combinations are supported; if pantograph-raising combinations are not restricted, modification of the neutral sections is required.
