Development a Motorized Remote-controlled Arc Suppression Device for 10 kV Live-line Operations

To enhance the efficiency and safety of live-line operations in 10 kV distribution networks, this paper proposes a motorized remote-controlled arc suppression device specifically designed for live-line disconnection and connection of unloaded cable lines and overhead line leads. The device adopts a modular design and consists of a high-voltage arc suppression switch body, a control unit, a motorized lead screw actuator, and a fixed enclosure. Utilizing wireless remote-control technology, the system enables precise remote operation, significantly reducing the need for frequent position changes during traditional procedures and lowering operational risks for personnel.
