Construction of Remote Operation and Maintenance System for Substation Equipment Supported by Edge Agent Technology

Abstract
With the continuous improvement of automation and intelligence of power systems, the traditional operation and maintenance mode of substation auxiliary equipment that relies on manual inspection can no longer meet modern operation needs. In order to improve the efficiency and intelligence level of substation operation and maintenance, this paper studies and constructs a smart supervision communication architecture that integrates the Internet of Things and 5G communication technology. Based on the three-level system design of "equipment layer-edge computing layer-central monitoring layer", edge agent technology is introduced to realize local data preprocessing and remote intelligent linkage. Through heterogeneous network integration, end-to-end QoS guarantee and multi-layer security mechanism design, the system has remote control, fault prediction and closed-loop optimization functions while maintaining low latency and high reliability, in order to effectively improve the equipment response speed and remote control accuracy, and enhance the system security and maintainability.
