A Five-Level ANPC Minimum Common-Mode Voltage Rejection Strategy Considering Capacitor Voltage Balancing

  • Five-level active neutral point clamped(ANPC) converters have been widely used in new energy, electric traction and other fields. In this paper, a novel common mode voltage(CMV) rejection strategy based on phase-shifted pulse width modulation(PS-PWM) is proposed, which minimizes the common mode voltage by injecting a zero-sequence voltage into the modulation wave, without affecting the balance between the neutral point capacitor voltage and the suspended capacitor voltage, and the feasibility of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulation.
