Evaluation and Analysis of Typical Traction Substation Grounding Return Test of Intercity Railroad

  • Intercity railroads have higher requirements for the reliability of traction substation power supply due to the characteristics of high train density and short distance between stations. As a core component to ensure the reliable operation of traction substation, the grounding grids can not only quickly discharge fault current and improve the ground potential distribution of the substation, but also provide a return path for the traction ground return current. Therefore, based on the relevant national standards, this paper carries out ground impedance, contact potential difference, step potential difference, soil resistivity test on the grounding grids of traction substation of a typical intercity railroad, and collects the traction return current data in the traction substation. Finally, combined with the relevant limit value requirements, the operational status of the grounding grids of the traction substation of the intercity railroad is comprehensively evaluated, which is of great significance for guaranteeing the safe and stable operation of the intercity railroad.
