Development and Application of Rain Cover for Mitsubishi HGIS Isolation Switch Transmission Mechanism

During long-term operation, Mitsubishi 500 kV HGIS equipment often experiences malfunctions such as jamming or operational failure when operating isolation switches due to factors such as outdoor exposure to natural rainwater erosion and weathering, as well as air leakage and inadequate opening and closing at the switch shaft seal. If the hidden dangers of equipment are not prevented in a timely manner, they will gradually develop, even from quantitative to qualitative changes, leading to equipment accidents and posing a great threat to human safety, power grid and equipment safety. This project aims to develop a rain cover for rain and sun protection, avoiding defects such as rust, air leakage, and jamming during opening and closing caused by water leakage at the shaft seal.
