Study on the Economy of Virtual Power Plant Participating in Peak Regulation Auxiliary Service

  • In the context of the development of new power systems, the peaking pressure of traditional power is increasing, and the demand for grid flexibility is increasing. Virtual power plants with a variety of flexible resources to participate in peaking ancillary services has become a research hotspot. This paper studies the economy of virtual power plants participating in peak regulation auxiliary services, and proposes a peak regulation pricing strategy for virtual power plants that takes into account the benefits of virtual power plants and peak regulation deviations. Based on the operation mode and peak regulation demand of virtual power plant, the compensation mechanism of various flexible resource responses in virtual power plant is analyzed. Then, a peak-shaving pricing model with the goal of maximizing the operating income of the virtual power plant and minimizing the peak-shaving deviation is constructed. The multi-objective particle swarm optimization method is used to solve the peak shaving pricing model, and the effectiveness of the proposed pricing strategy is verified by an example analysis.
