Abstract:
At present, a large number of 750 kV high-voltage bushings are in operation in the Xinjiang Power Grid, covering major domestic and international equipment manufacturers. The stable operation of high-voltage bushings directly affects power grid security. In recent years, several power outages caused by bushing failures have occurred in the company’s system. As the primary insulation medium inside bushings, insulating oil contains dissolved hydrogen and other characteristic gases whose concentrations can sensitively reflect the operating conditions of bushings. Abnormal hydrogen accumulation serves as a "chemical fingerprint" indicating severe internal faults in bushings. Such abnormal data changes are regarded as emergency signals requiring immediate response to avoid major accidents. On this theoretical basis, researchers have innovatively proposed a dual fusion detection technology combining in-oil hydrogen monitoring and downward oil sampling for oil-immersed high-voltage bushings. Since 2024, this technology has been piloted in the Xinjiang Power Grid. Up to now, it has successfully identified and warned multiple abnormal conditions of bushings, significantly improving the quality and efficiency of equipment operation and maintenance.
