Abstract:
Since diesel generators (DEs) are usually used as distributed energy resources (DG) in traditional microgrids to produce a large amount of greenhouse gases, this paper proposes a new microgrid model with a variety of renewable energy sources. Furthermore, an improved Mantis Shrimp Algorithm (MSA) is introduced, which incorporates adaptive control factors based on the Tent-Logistic-Cosine chaotic mapping. This modification aims to address the challenge of frequently encountering local optima, a common issue with the conventional Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. Simulation results substantiate that this model significantly improves the economic and environmental performance of microgrid operations, thereby confirming the outstanding efficacy of the enhanced MSA algorithm.
