Abstract:
To meet the demand for low-cost and highly reliable motors in new energy vehicle drive systems, this paper studies a 45 kW, 240 V, 6/4-pole switched reluctance motor (SRM). Combining analogy design with parametric optimization, key parameters—including overall dimensions, stator/rotor pole arcs, air gap length, and yoke height—are analyzed and adjusted. Compared with the Y2 series motor, the optimized design reduces copper usage by approximately 56.15% and silicon steel sheet usage by about 76.0%, while satisfying electromagnetic performance requirements. Simulation results show that the yoke flux density is about 1.45 T, below the saturation limit, confirming the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of the design.
