Abstract: This paper discusses the methodology for phasor testing on lightly loaded line bays following the retrofit of 220 kV bus differential protection in substations. By comparing phasor measurements from different windings and multiple sets of busbar protection, a reliable discrimination method for phasor verification under light-load conditions is proposed.
