柔性直流输电系统换流器脉冲调制策略研究

Study of New Frequency Conversion Integrated PWM Method of Modular Multilevel Converter in VSC-HVDC

  • 摘要: 模块化多电平变流器是一种广泛应用于柔性直流输电系统的多电平变流器结构,具有模块化程度高、输出谐波含量少、可扩展性强等优点。多电平载波调制方法是当前常用于模块化多电平变流器中的一类调制方案,但是普遍存在调制策略灵活性差、容易产生窄脉冲等问题。为此提出了一种新型的变频积分脉宽调制策略,可以根据调制波形的变化率实时改变载波的频率,在调制波形变化较快时提高载波的频率,在波形变化较慢时降低载波的频率,从而使用最少的开关次数来获得质量最高的输出波形,减少系统输出波形的总谐波含量;同时在波峰处调制频率较低,也可以有效地抑制窄脉冲的生成。

     

    Abstract: Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) is one of the converter topology which is widely used in the VSC-HVDC systems. This converter shows the advantage of high degree of modularity, low output harmonic content, strong scalability,et al.One kind of the modulation strategies is the multilevel PWM strategies which are discovered the disadvantage of low flexibility and easy to produce narrow pulse. Thus, the paper propose a new modulation strategies called frequency conversion integrated PWM (FCIPWM). The method could change the frequency of the carrier wave real-time on the basis of the modulation wave's variance ratio. Thus, the frequency of the carrier wave will increase when the modulation wave change quickly and will decrease when the modulation wave change slowly. Besides, the modulating frequency is low when the modulation wave is in it wave crest so that narrow pulse will be restrained.
