Abstract:
This paper conducts research and improvement on the insulation clamps of energy meters connected through transformers in power systems. Due to the potential poor insulation performance of traditional clamps under certain conditions, a new type of insulation clamp is proposed to enhance the accuracy of energy measurement and the safety of equipment. The new clamp is made of high-quality insulating materials, features a torsion spring to control the clamping action, adapts to conductors of various specifications, and is equipped with clear markings to reduce wiring errors. A series of experiments demonstrate the superior performance of the new clamp over traditional ones.
