Abstract:
This paper proposes a joint control design scheme for industrial cameras and light source controllers to address the problem of dark areas or blurred edges in non projection overlapping parts caused by different lighting during the measurement of dimensions of three-dimensional workpieces. Through the joint control of industrial cameras and light source controllers, the three-dimensional workpiece is photographed twice under different light sources. Based on this, the Sobel operator is used to perform edge detection on the image, calculate the comprehensive grayscale gradient values in the x and y directions, and obtain clear edge images of the three-dimensional workpiece. This solution has been applied in actual online production, significantly improving detection accuracy and enhancing product quality.
