Abstract:
At present, there is a boom in the research and application of electrochemical energy storage system represented by lithium-ion battery working as the black start power for gas turbine. Technical analysis was carried out from the electrical power and electrical energy required for black start of a 9F gas turbine, the influence and counter measures of transformer excitation inrush current, the control strategy of power conversion system, the estimation of battery state of charge and state of health, ect. Compared lithium-ion battery energy storage system and diesel generator from the economic aspects of investment and land occupation, operation and maintenance, ect. The feasibility of using lithium-ion battery energy storage system as a black start power for large-scale gas turbine was discussed. It is learned that using lithium-ion battery energy storage system as a black start power for large-scale gas turbine does not have advantage at present. Further, the combination of black start power and auxiliary frequency regulation power with a set of lithium-ion battery energy storage system was analyzed. It is not recommended yet that using lithium-ion battery energy storage system as black start power.
