Abstract:
In response to the issues of high current distortion rate and low power factor on the power grid side caused by the traditional electric furnace using 380 V low-voltage high-current power supply, this paper proposes to directly connect to the power source with 10 kV high-voltage low-current. The power is supplied to the load through a 24-pulse phase-shifting transformer based on the delta connection of the grid-side winding, with multi-circuit balanced output. The phase-shifting principle of the phase-shifting transformer, the cancellation of harmonic content in the grid-side current, and the improvement of the power factor are derived through formulas. Based on Simulink simulation, the correctness of the theoretical derivation is verified, and finally, a physical platform is built. The results show that the grid-side current distortion rate is below 5%, and the power factor is around 95%, which improves the quality of electrical energy.
